Jaya Prasanth Rajakal
Postdoctoral Researcher

Biography
Dr. Jaya Prasanth Rajakal is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in School of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University. He received his B.Tech in Energy and Environment Engineering, M.Tech in Renewable Energy Technologies and a PhD in Engineering. His expertise is in developing advanced mathematical optimization models and graphical methods that serve as decision support tools for strategizing decarbonization and net zero transitions in energy and agro-industrial sectors. His research is driven by a commitment to investigating, synthesizing, and optimizing pathways towards achieving a low carbon economy. Dr. Rajakal have led several projects focused on developing sector-specific decarbonization strategies, particularly for palm oil and oil & gas sectors in Malaysia.
