Techno-Economic Feasibility Study for the Development of Hydrogen Production Plant in Kuching

sedc.png

In tandem with the green hydrogen agenda, the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) Energy is interested to venture into green hydrogen production business in Sarawak. The production plant aims to supply the domestic demand in the State (e.g., refuelling station for hydrogen-powered buses and trains), as well as to export the excess hydrogen to foreign countries.

The launching of the project is, nonetheless, a high risk, high reward undertaking as it involves substantial investment and the requirement of strong implementation capacity. Feasibility study on the economic feasibility is, therefore, vital for all stakeholders to understand the full spectrum of the opportunities and risks embedded in the project. This project aims to offer comprehensive economic analysis of the proposed green hydrogen plant and outline important insights that can facilitate the latter stage of investment.
