Biography

Cheng Xin Hui is a PhD candidate at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, specialising in macro-scale energy system planning. Her research focuses on developing strategies for energy sector decarbonisation and facilitating a just energy transition. By integrating real-world constraints into energy planning models, Xin Hui aims to provide actionable policy recommendations that support sustainable and equitable energy transitions. Xin Hui is also keen in exploring the optimisation of the food-energy-water-waste (FEWW) nexus, ensuring a holistic approach to sustainable resource management. With a strong passion for bridging academic research with real-world applications, Xin Hui aspires to shape evidence-based policies that drive an inclusive and resilient energy future.
